Free Dental Exam & Diagnosis for New Immigrants, International Students, and Refugees

As part of its Mid-Year Community Connection Series, the Ontario STEAM Foundation (OSF) is launching a lineup of engaging and supportive events for newcomers, students, and underserved communities in the Vaughan area. This series will feature a range of activities—from educational to wellness-focused—that aim to build stronger community ties and provide practical support. Details about upcoming events will be shared in future newsletters, so stay tuned!

We’re kicking off with a Free Dental Exam & Diagnosis Event, happening from May 6 to May 13, led by Dr. Wenrui Xue, a skilled and internationally trained orthodontist.

Meet Dr. Wenrui Xue

Dr. Xue has practiced in top institutions across China, the U.S., and Canada, and is known for his work with advanced orthodontic techniques. He brings both compassion and expertise to his care.

About the Event

This initiative is designed to ease financial pressure for individuals navigating healthcare in a new country. It offers free dental checkups and diagnoses, along with friendly info sessions on dental hygiene and orthodontics—perfect for young families and individuals new to Canadian healthcare.

OSF is committed to creating meaningful, accessible programming for those who need it most. We warmly welcome all eligible participants to take advantage of this opportunity and learn more about oral health in a supportive setting.

Registration details will be shared soon. In the meantime, keep an eye out for updates on other exciting events coming your way as part of this mid-year series!
